I come from a long line of collectors, beginning with my grandmother and great aunt. This passion continued with my mother and her identical twin sister who owned an antique shop here in Portland.

I guess you could call it the "perfect storm"...being raised with an appreciation for antiques, a friend pointing out my affinity for vintage jewelry, and my sister, Carter, repeatedly praising its superior quality and value. It finally clicked, and I've been on "The Hunt" for signed and unsigned vintage costume jewelry ever since. Not only do I have a huge passion and respect for this accessory, I also have a passion to learn all that I can about the famous vintage costume jewelry makers that began in the early 1900's, many in Providence, Rhode Island.

The way I look at it, this is recycling at its very best!
